Today Disney gave us a look at the Disney Wish. Also included in this preview was a look at all of the new family entertainment set to set sail on Wish from June 2022.
Disney combines technology, storytelling and innovative design to create new immersive guest experiences, entertainment and environments for the new ship.
Let’s take a look at what new entertainment awaits us:
The Great Hall
This is a new “fairytale gathering space” set in an “environmental theater” that uses built-in special effects and the “first atrium stage on a Disney ship”.
This is located in the Grand Hall area of the ship. There will be a theatrical “surprise” throughout the day.
“Luna is a brand new entertainment center that transforms from a daytime environment for family fun into an elegant evening venue for adult-only entertainment, featuring a variety of live shows and interactive programs throughout the day.”
This “is a futuristic sports arena that blends physical activity with imagination in action-packed challenges and game show-style competitions that families can participate in together.”
Walt Disney Theater
Inspired by an enchanted forest, the theater on Disney Wish will host original Broadway-style stage shows developed exclusively for Disney Cruise Line.
We know that one of the shows will include a reimagining of Disney’s Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular. There are also two new shows in development for The Wish, but they will reveal more details about them later. ”
wonderland and Never Land cinemas
Cinemas are of course available in the shop and these “are intimate screening rooms that give you more opportunities than ever to see classic and new films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and more.”
clubs for children
Children aged 3-12 can have their own Disney’s Oceaneer Club which will house some new rooms:
Marvel Superhero Academy
That is a “High-tech Avengers headquarters where young “recruits” are trained to become next-generation superheroes with the help of their own heroes like Spider-Man, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Wasp.”
Fairy Tale Hall
Here children will finda royal trio of activity rooms where princesses and princes unleash their creativity in Rapunzel’s art studio, read and act out stories in Belle’s library, and test newfound icy powers in Anna and Elsa’s summer house.”
Walt Disney Imagineering Lab
This “is a unique opportunity for children to discover the mysteries of Disney Imagineers through hands-on activities and imaginative experiments.”
You can even build your own roller coaster and ride it virtually.
It’s a Small World Kindergarten
This room for children aged 6 months to 3 years”will offer babysitting services in a whimsical setting inspired by the popular Disney attraction of the same name.”
For older children
“edge (11 to 14 years) and mood (ages 14 to 17) are trendy venues where tweens and teens chill and play in their own way, with dedicated programming designed to spark the unique interests of these age groups.”
It gives a glimpse of what is to come.
Disney Wish sales begin June 9, 2022. Booking windows are starting soon!
