No specs of Phone 1 have been leaked ahead of the official launch

Ahead of the official announcement, Nothing Phone 1’s specs leaked on the web. Speculations suggest that the upcoming Nothing phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ octa-core SoC that will pack at least 128GB of internal storage. In addition, the smartphone is said to have a Samsung E4 AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Nothing Phone 1 will launch in India and some other regions on July 12th. Aside from revealing the design, the company remains silent on the details and features of its first-ever smartphone. But a new leak has surfaced online suggesting key specs of the upcoming handset. The supposed details of the Nothing Phone 1 were tweeted by tipster Mukul Sharma. He also provided some screenshots showing the future phone’s listing on benchmarking website Geekbench. Another well-known tipper, Yogesh Brar, has provided some additional information on the Nothing Phone 1 in another tweet.

According to the information provided by Sharma, the Nothing Phone 1 would use Android 12 and have a 120Hz OLED display. The Samsung E4 AMOLED panel, which has TÜV Rheinland certification and supports HDR10+, was mentioned separately as a feature of the phone by Yogesh Brar.

The Nothing Phone 1 is also said to pack a 4,500mAh or 5,000mAh battery, 45W fast charging and dual rear cameras with optical image stabilization (OIS). Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging would also be included. The phone is also rumored to have NFC.

According to Yogesh Brar, the Nothing Phone 1 would support both 5W and 15W reverse wireless charging, both based on the Qi standard. For wired charging there would also be USB PD3.0/PPS.

Sharma specified that the Snapdragon 778G+ SoC combined with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage will run the Nothing Phone 1 in addition to the display. The Geekbench website, which Sharma quotes in another tweet, also lists the chipset and RAM specs.
