Barrow 3-2 Bradford City – BBC Sport

Barrow continued their perfect start to the new season with a dramatic 3-2 win over Bradford at Holker Street.

Josh Gordon struck the injury-time winner – right after Andy Cook equalized for the visitors – to earn a maximum of six points for Pete Wild’s side.

After a dismal first half, the game exploded with two goals in three minutes.

Ben Whitfield broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute when he picked up Patrick Brough’s header and fired past Bradford keeper Harry Lewis from the edge of the D.

Two minutes later, Mark Hughes’ Bantams equalized. Cook and Ryan East connected to serve Jake Young for an angled drive that hit the bottom of the bar and bounced over the line.

Barrow restored his lead with five minutes left when Josh Kay deflected a corner from Whitfield from close range.

Bradford thought they saved a point when Cook tumbled after Paul Farman failed to keep Young’s shot. But Gordon sealed it in the sixth minute of added time.
