SHORTS: DAZN, SPORT ENGLAND, ESPORT

UK-headquartered global sports entertainment company, DAZN Group, has announced the renewal of its exclusive rights deals for Japan, Germany, Austria and Switzerland for the UEFA Nations League, European Qualifiers for the European Championship and World Cup, Finalissima 2022 and others UEFA friendlies. The contracts were extended by six seasons (Japan) and four seasons (Germany, Switzerland and Austria).

Subscribers can enjoy the UEFA Nations League: Matchdays 1 to 4 in June live on DAZN, including teams like Spain, Italy, England and Portugal. There are also long-awaited games like Spain versus Portugal or England versus Italy.


Sport England has announced it is investing a further £360m in national lotteries and government money into 78 more partners to help everyone in England take action and tackle long-standing inequalities in access to sport and physical activity. The funding builds on the £193m investment in 43 partners announced in March, bringing the total to over £550m across 121 partners.

The new investment model provides organizations with funding for up to five years to provide longer-term financial security that enables organizations to recover and reinvent themselves from the impact of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
