Huskers trending with 4 stars, another top destination for 2023

Nebraska football is starting to build some momentum on the recruiting path in the 2023 class, and two top targets are leaning towards the Huskers.

Nebraska’s football program revamped its offensive coaching staff this offseason, and the dividends are showing on the recruiting path.

The Huskers have just five signings so far in the 2023 recruit class, which ranks 38th overall according to the composite ranking of 247 sports teams.

Nebraska football could soar, however, as the Huskers picked up some key crystal ball projections ahead of a big visiting weekend.

The biggest prediction for the Huskers came from 247 Sports’ Steve Wiltfong, who has a crystal globe for Nebraska football to win over four-star offensive lineman Amir Herring of Michigan.

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Hering ranks 217th overall and ninth among interior offensive linemen. Michigan was the clear leader of the crystal ball and should get Herring to visit campus this month.

However, there was a mix-up of sorts and the only official visit Herring will be making at this time is in Nebraska this weekend. With this in mind, Wiltfong predicts that the Huskers will win this recruitment and he used a confidence level of six (scale from 1 to 10).

Nebraska football has also taken the lead, according to On3.com’s prediction engine. The Huskers now have a 52 percent chance of winning Herring’s signing. Michigan is at 48.

The Wolverines haven’t prioritized herring quite as much as the Huskers and this weekend will be a big opportunity for the workforce to close.

Is Nebraska Football Joining A Commitment?

Mickey Joseph excelled on the recruiting path and has a former top 100 LSU engagement on campus this weekend.

The Huskers could get their second wide receiver engagement sooner, however, as three-star Jaidyn Doss gravitates to Nebraska with crystal ball projections.

Doss is 6 feet tall, 190 pounds from Missouri and he ranks 418th overall in the 2023 class on the 247 sports composite rankings. The Huskers also have over a 98 percent chance of landing his signing, according to On3.

Four 247 sports recruiting pundits have predicted Doss will end up with Nebraska Football, and with Omarion Miller, the 104th recruit overall in 2023 and the 18th wideout, also making an official visit this weekend, fresh from his LSU suspension, is Joseph on a roll.

Nebraska football fans only hope it continues and turns into more signings.
