The Most Profitable Ideas to Sell on TikTok NOW

Combining your hobbies and interests with a business is an excellent idea. I have tried all these ideas and everything is my own experience. I use this to earn an extra income. However, you can always turn it into something much bigger for yourself!

Here are some artsy, crafty ways to make an income at home!

This is a newer trend that emerged in the middle of last year and is doing incredibly well. Although you can make a number of things with resin from jewelry, jewelry stands, cake stands, phone cases, etc., coasters are currently the most popular.

I admit it’s not a project that’s cheap to start. Most resin coaster kits cost around $50 and include everything you need – resin and hardener, mica (colorant for the resin), coaster mold, heat gun (for bubbles), gold leaf flakes. You can make a whole range of coasters with these kits, however, and they generally sell on eBay for around $20 for a set of 4. Also, it’s a fun project and doesn’t take too much time depending on the design you choose. You simply mix the mica into the resin, then pour it into a coaster mold and wait 24 hours for it to dry.

No need to be too fancy with your packaging and waste your money. Cardboard paper packaging with a ribbon tied around it looks great and gives a home-made feel.

I’ve been painting just for fun for a few years. It started with a Mother’s Day painting gift and grew to selling my paintings on Facebook Marketplace.

You may think that to make a painting good enough, let alone sell one, you must have incredible skills! Not true at all. There are tons of YouTube videos for beginners who have never painted in their life. One of my favorite videos is this Jack and Sally painting The Nightmare Before Christmas. Cinnamon Cooney, whose own channel The Art Sherpa focuses on painting tutorials for painters of all levels, is a great resource for learning how to paint standout pieces.

She loves cartoon paintings (but covers all types of paintings) and those great movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas have serious fans who will come after you once you post this listing. You don’t have to know how to paint the most detailed painting in France to sell your art. Seriously, it’s not as hard as it seems.

I’ve seen these smart candles popping up all over Facebook Marketplace. There are endless designs and fragrances you can create so you always stand out from the competition.

One of the best things about starting a candle business is that there aren’t huge upfront costs and it’s a highly profitable niche.

If you love candles, why not give it a try? So get creative! Try different candle shapes, scents and colors

Since setting up a website is quite expensive, especially if you are just starting a business, you can start an Etsy shop. This is an ecommerce platform where you sell your handmade items or crafts. Many entrepreneurs choose this route because it’s budget-friendly, easy to set up, and allows them to link to their Etsy shop on their blog.

If this is not an option for you like in my case because we don’t have Etsy in my country then Facebook Marketplace should be a better option. The only downside to selling on the marketplace is that you usually have to meet with your customers in person, unlike Etsy where packages are primarily mailed.

So when you’re not working and you’re stuck at home, or maybe you just have some free time, why not start thinking about the types of crafts you can make in your free time? From there you can start a blog and showcase your handmade items! Who knows, it might even grow into something much bigger in the future.

Thinking of pursuing any of these ideas? If so, which? Good luck and let me know in the comments!
