The film, starring Bhumi Pednekar, Sahejmeen Kaur and others, is getting a lot of negativity as the film is accused of plagiarism. Kanika Dhillon was caught delivering a confused anti-Hindu speech on Twitter when her tweets went viral ahead of the film’s release on the platform. Akshay was asked why he chooses to work with such people who have an innate pishnet to hate anything related to Hinduism. This is not the first time Akshay has worked with people who are anti-Hindus. Another user shared a screenshot of Kanika Dhillon’s tweet and commented: “You are against Hindu tradition and you are also working on a film called #RakshaBandhan. In the midst of this, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut took her social grip to chime in. In response to news that Kanika was deleting the controversial tweets after boycotting Trends, Kangana took a taunt to Kanika. She wrote: “Haha nothing affects her like financial loss…only fear of financial loss can make her delete Hinduphobic and anti-India tweets nothing else…interesting”.
